What makes a city a happy place to live? In this workshop, students explore how architects and urban designers create communities that support people’s well-being, connection, and creativity. Students will discover the importance of parks, public spaces, neighborhoods, transportation, nature, and thoughtful design in shaping everyday experiences. Through sketching, model-making, and hands-on design challenges, they will imagine and create their own happy city designed for people, play, and community.
