What happens when there is no land? In Life on Water, children will take on an exciting design challenge: imagining how we could live, build, and create communities on water. Students will explore floating structures, balance, buoyancy, materials, and innovative ways architecture can respond to a changing environment. Through sketching, hands-on experiments, model-making, and prototyping, they’ll design and build their own floating architectural creation – and put their ideas to the test on water. They’ll observe what works, rethink what doesn’t, and improve their designs through experimentation.
