Design Lab

In this Pro-D Day workshop, students will explore the fascinating world of bridges by learning how they connect places, people, and ideas through architecture and engineering. Children will discover different types of bridges, their historical significance, and the basic structural principles that make them strong and stable. Through hands-on activities, observation, and guided discussion, students will understand how forces such as tension, compression, and load work in bridge design in a fun and engaging way.

Students who are 8 years and older will have the opportunity to design and build their own bridge under our supervision and submit their project to the Big & Lit Design platform, allowing them to proudly showcase their creative and technical work as part of a larger design community.
